Sharing your story will increase your Internet sales dramatically. I've almost fallen victim to this sales technique a number of times. I usually hate to read long sales pages, but the other day I was reading one on my blackberry of all places and couldn't put it down. Why? It was her story. It was so compelling I just kept reading and then I was ready to sign up for her program. I was about to make a decision to purchase an item based on an emotional response to her story. But then logic, my husband's voice, stepped in and I didn't actually complete the purchase. But the point is if you share your story and reveal vulnerability you will sell more on your sales pages. Let your potential customers know you've been there before.
Story telling can be a difficult task to accomplish if you're not used to it. But try to look at other sales pages for examples and see how they work in their stories. Remember to be unique to your gift and story and the rest will come. You can take a look at the most recent sales page I wrote to see how I worked in my story: www.bestbizblogging.com. Also, I have a friend and client (we're re-working her website now) who has helped several of my clients. To find out more information about her services visit her website at: http://www.compellingcomm.com/home.shtml or check out another great resource www.redhotcopy.com.
